David, graduate of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, has served First Baptist Church since 1994. His interest in lifelong faith development drives him in equipping members to provide a variety of opportunities for Christian education and discipleship for children, youth and adults. David and his wife Betsy Whaley, live in the Royerton area with their children, Benjamin and Julia and their canine friends, Neelix and Kess. |

Frederick B. Shulze has been Organist at FBC since 1971. A native of Portland (Oregon), he received the Bachelor of Music from Wheaton College (Illinois), Master of Music from Northwestern University (Illinois), and Doctor of Musical Arts from the University of Washington. After teaching at Cascade College (Portland, Oregon) for eight years, Fred joined the music faculty at Taylor University (Upland, Indiana) as Professor of Organ, Music Theory, Music History, Composition, Arranging, & Electronic Music. Dr. Shulze has played recitals and oratorio accompaniments in the Northwest and Midwest. After thirty-two years of service at Taylor University, he retired in 2002. He is married to Darlene (Nye) Shulze and they have a daughter, Stephanie, and a son, Stephen. |

Margaret has been the secretary at FBC since May 1995. She and her husband, Steve, live in the country south of Muncie. They have three grown children and since the year 2000 have been blessed with six grandchildren. In her spare time she likes to spend time with her family, especially the grandchildren. |
