A wedding at First Baptist

First Baptist Church Muncie (FBCM) is a fitting wedding location and the facilities can be reserved for Christian weddings.

Building rentals for this purpose are something we do to share our building with sisters and brothers in Christ in the area so they might celebrate at a reasonable cost. Any associated fees are used exclusively for the cost of utilities, maintaining our building, and accounting for the time of our wedding coordinator, and others, who help make wedding ceremonies possible.

If you are interested, please read the following information and requirements for using our building and decide if our church may be right for your wedding ceremony.

Ella Mae is a long-time member of First Baptist Church who also serves as our Wedding Coordinator. She is the appropriate person to contact if you are interested in celebrating a Christian wedding ceremony at First Baptist.

Looking back at our wedding, we are very thankful to have chosen First Baptist Muncie for our ceremony and to have had the pleasure to work with their staff. The care and help we received was genuine and thorough and the beauty of the building is unparalleled. Mrs. Lemen was always very quick to answer any questions and help with any accommodations. When it is all said and done, they celebrate the gift of marriage with you like family.

How to reserve the church

  • Talk with Ella Mae Lemen, the wedding coordinator, about your date and the building.
  • Fill out the wedding information form online.
  • Mail the signed contract, the information sheet and a deposit to First Baptist Church, 309 East Adams Street.

Using the building for other events

Throughout our history and into the present, FBCM has opened up its facilities for use by friends and community organizations.

If you would like to use our building on a short term basis in some other way, please fill out an online Building Use Request Form. Then only the Property Use Agreement must be signed and turned into the office.
