"What's it all about?" What is life? Does it have a meaning? The book of Ecclesiastes is perhaps the only true book of philosophy in the Bible. In this sometimes disturbing and frequently captivating work, "The Teacher" takes a look at what he calls "Everything under the sun" and analyzes it searching for meaning.
His questions, and his answers, might surprise us and cause us to ask: "How do we live when wisdom, pleasure, success -- really, everything -- doesn't seem to be enough to satisfy us?"
We're kicking off the new year at FBCM, by reading and preaching through Ecclesiastes, a Wisdom book in the Old Testament, and find how this ancient book speaks to our contemporary situation.
